Custom Hardcover Binding London
Whatever the occasion, custom hardcover binding offers a professional and elegant solution for your documents! The books are made by binding together paper with hot glue. The bound pages are then glued to the inside of the customised hard cover.
We will print the front cover, spine and back cover of your hardcover book on a single sheet which we will wrap around a greyboard to create the hardback cover of your book. White endpapers will be glued to the inside of the front and back cover.
We can produce custom hardback books in sizes A5, A4 and A3 size.
A4 and A3 documents can be bound either on the short or on the long edge.
We need minimum 24 hours for printing and binding hardback books.
If you need urgent printing and hardcover binding, please contact us. Depending on our workload on the day, we may be able to offer faster hardcover binding.
Once hardcover books are printed and bound, you can collect them from our Central London printing centre.
We also offer a same day courier service to London postcodes or standard delivery service to the rest of the UK.

Printing and perfect binding
If you need printing and perfect binding, you can visit us at Kings Cross, Central London or email us your files and let us know:
- the size of your document and how many copies you need
- if you need colour or black and white printing for the inside pages
- if you need single- or double-sided printing
- you paper choice (matt, silk or coated paper, paper weight)
- if you want your document printed full bleed

Cover
Your front cover, spine and back cover should be created in a single spread. Ideally the resolution should be 300 dpi. We need an extra large bleed for the cover as it needs to wrap around the hard cover. Please add 2-3cm bleed to your design keeping in mind that this part will wrap around the inside of the cover.
Inside Pages
All important information should be placed 1-2 cm off edge and minimum 2 cm off the binding edge. If your documents need to be printed full bleed, they should have a bleed of 3 mm. The file should be saved as individual pages in consecutive order (rather than spreads).
We stock a wide range of paper and card.
Choose paper with thickness between 80-200 gsm for the inside pages of your document. We offer silk, matte and coated paper and card. The choice of paper thickness and finish will depend on the size of your document, the number of pages and the effect you want to achieve.

Hardcover Bookbinding
Hardcover bookbinding offers an elegant and professional solution for a variety of occasions. Case bound books are perfect for presentation of a thesis, portfolio, printed as photo books, reference books, year books and journals, a novel and many more. Each hardcover book is printed and bound in our London printing centre.
We offer different printing options to match your style and achieve the desired effect. Choose black and white or full colour printing for the inside pages. They can be printed on variety of paper with weight between 80-200 gsm and with matte, silk or coated finish. The cover of your hardback book will be printed on a Latex printer and wrapped around grey board creating the hard case of the book.
Sizes Hardback Books
Our hardback books are available in the following sizes:
- A5 size portrait and landscape
- A4 size portrait and landscape
- A3 size portrait and landscape
We are also able to print any custom size hardcover books between A5 and A3 size.
We recommend a minimum page count of 50 double-sided pages (25 sheets) and maximum 600 pages (300 sheets) for 100 gsm paper. Thicker paper will allow for smaller maximum number of sheets.

Our standard turnaround on custom cover bookbinding orders is 24 hours. However, if you need your documents printed and bound urgently, please contact us and we will do our best to accommodate your order.
Delivery and Collection
You can collect your ready documents or we can get them delivered to you. We offer same day courier delivery for London and a standard delivery for the rest of England.
